I originally thought I found my gown at another boutique, so to be honest my heart wasn’t really feeling it, however that changed almost immediately.
The boutique was gorgeous, all the girls and Jo were very welcoming and made me feel at ease from the second I walked in.
The style I wanted was a fishtail gown, I wasn’t really too fussed on the neck-line. I was happy to try anything. I just knew I wanted my dress really fitted and dramatic at the bottom.
YES! Jo picked out 4 dresses for me to try; the last dress was ‘the one’. She warned me it was very Kim Kardashian and it was totally me. I fell in love.
The service from all the girls was amazing from start to end. Jo, sat me down before trying dresses on and asked me how I wanted to feel on my wedding day, this made me realise what I wanted and where I wanted to get my dress from.
I knew as soon as I tried it on, I wanted a dramatic fishtail and it certainly was. The song that came on in the boutique was ‘A thousand years’ and this song played on the day.
I didn’t wear a veil in my hair, the reason for this was the dress itself has small embroidered crystals on and I felt it would be too much wearing a veil, instead I decided on a vintage slide (from the boutique) which I wore in the back on my hair.
Jo and the girls were absolutely fabulous from day one! I instantly felt special from the second I walked into the boutique. Jo helped me pick out my dream dress, she made me feel elegant and confident, Danni supported me throughout all my fittings and Anne the seamstress was amazing too, she made the dress fit perfectly!!! This boutique I would HIGHLY recommend for that special wedding dress, the variety and choice is endless along with the positive attitude and welcoming vibes. I am very proud to say I am a YAP bride!
How did you feel wearing your amazing gown on your wedding day? Absolutely amazing, words can’t describe how I felt. I felt elegant and beautiful; I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
Where was your wedding held and what kind of day did you want? My wedding was held at the tree house in Alnwick Gardens, I wanted a relaxed, effort-less day and NO rain! I got it, it was amazing, everything ran well, however I was 30mins late but that’s usual for me!
What colour scheme/ theme did you choose for your big day? My colour scheme was based around very pastel colours, my bridesmaid dress was a mocha shade and my flowers were cream roses with sweet peas. I kept it quite simple as the venue itself didn’t need an over-load of colours.
Who did you choose as your photographer/ florist/ suppliers? Sarah Thew photographed the day and Simply Flowers supplied my flowers! Both amazing jobs!!
