I'd been to several dress shops and boutiques and was feeling a bit disheartened with the experience. I had a lot of conflicting ideas about the dress that I wanted and couldn't seem to find any gowns that suited me.
I visited YAP with my Mam and Sister. I loved the feel of the boutique, I felt instantly at ease. All of the team are so involved and so invested in each bride you feel truly special. It was the first bridal shop I had been in that had made me feel really excited to be choosing my gown!
I knew I would like my gown to have some lace, other than that I really didn't know.
This was the most important part! Jo really knows what she is talking about. It was the first time anyone had asked about the style of our wedding or how I wanted to feel on day. On my first visit I told Jo about the dress that I wanted and she picked out my gowns based on that. Nothing felt right, and I left the first day without having chosen my dress. I was so disappointed, I emailed Jo the next day and begged to come back, I was so sure I'd found my dress shop, even if I hadn't found my dress yet! Thankfully Jo was lovely about it, I went back, let Jo pick out my first gown and it was the one!
Outstanding. I could walk in the shop even at the busiest times and someone always found a moment to say hello. I felt very valued and it made a lovely experience extra magical.
Jo chose my dress for me to try, and the second it was on me I knew it was my dress. It was the only gown I tried on that made my Mam cry, so that sealed the deal!
My shoes were from Debenhams, and my veil was from Y.A.P. Danni picked out the most wonderful matching veil, it was absolutely perfect.
My experience was perfect. Most of all, I was able to find the perfect gown which matched my wedding completely. I felt unbelievable on the day, while still being comfortable and like 'me'. From walking into the boutique on my first visit to picking my dress up, the smile never left my face!
How did you feel wearing your amazing gown on your wedding day?
I adore my dress. It was so soft and romantic, it fit with our wedding perfectly.
Where was your wedding held and what kind of day did you want?
Our wedding was at Kirkley Hall. We both wanted a relaxed day and to just be able to have all of our close family and friends with us.
What colour scheme/ theme did you choose for your big day?
We had a loose 'Canadian' theme for the day as that was where we met, and our colours were Navy and Mango Orange.
Who did you choose as your photographer/ florist/ suppliers?
Our flowers were arranged by The Flower Cabin, Photography was Kenn Reay Photography.
Thank you to our friends Kenn and Sheila Reay for the amazing photography xxx
