Anxious! I had previously been to several wedding dress shops before my appointment with Y.A.P Bridal Boutique, but on each occasion I left empty handed as I had just not found 'the dress'. I was aware that I had left shopping for my dress a little late and I had not left a lot of time for ordering and delivery. Knowing this, I knew I had to find the dress of my dreams, quickly! I really hoped Y.A.P had what I was looking for!
The boutique had a calm, tranquil feeling and I was greeted warmly by the team.
I knew I wanted a fitted dress but with a vintage feel.
Although every member of the Y.A.P team were fantastic, I just seemed to click with Danni. It was clear she understood what ‘look’ I was going for and gently guided me in the right direction with regards to the dress she thought would suit me best. Danni never made me feel rushed and had a really relaxed manner and it was clear to me she really knew her stuff.
My bridal stylist really listened to my views and I knew at that moment that if I wasn’t going to find my dress here, I wouldn’t find it anywhere! I was conscious I didn’t want to waste their time by trying on endless amounts of dresses and walking away empty handed having endured another unsuccessful trip. I was sat down and discussed my ideas one to one and asked lots of questions that I suppose I had not thought of before such as ‘How do you want to feel in your dress?’ The answer that came straight to my head was glamorous and sexy. Danni got me straight away!
After my consultation I was allowed to look through rails of lots of pretty dresses! As soon as I came across my Mori Lee mermaid style dress I just fell in love with the lace! The dress was stunning with a low back it was everything I had been looking for.
Danni made choosing my wedding dress a stress-free experience and as soon as I met her I knew I was in safe hands! The service she gave was second to none.

• ACCESSORIES •
I was initially not going to have a veil but I’m so pleased I tried one on as I feel it just brought my whole look together! To my surprise, my husband would not let me take my veil off on our wedding night. He loved it as much I did! I bought my satin shoes from Rainbow and had them dyed blue as my ‘something blue’. To add a little more detail to my shoes I bought some beautiful crystal clips that gave them a touch of vintage glamour. Danni helped me choose a gorgeous pearl head piece to complete my look and I can’t thank her enough for her suggestion!

I felt simply stunning.
• VENUE •
Our wedding was held at Newton Hall in Northumberland. The venue is such a fun place (reminds me of Alice in Wonderland) and we wanted our family and wedding guests to really enjoy themselves, let their hair down and celebrate our marriage with us! We wanted a fun-filled informal day!
• DETAILS •
Our wedding was light pink and gold with a touch of mint green. Our wedding tables were gold and pink with pastel coloured flowers as centre pieces. My husband and the males (including pageboy) in the wedding party wore blue suits with mint green cravats and our bridesmaids and flower girls wore pale pink dresses with a hint of gold sparkle.
