I was nervous and wasn’t sure if I would ever find ‘the one’ but also excited to see what options there were out there and how I would look.
I went to my appointment with my Mam and Nana, we were warmly welcomed by Danni as we entered; the boutique was stunning with exquisite dresses on display. I was very excited and was made to feel comfortable straight away. Danni made us all a cup of tea, we sat down and she asked questions regarding the design of the dress I was looking for, she listened intently to my ideas so she could get a feel of what I wanted on the day.
I knew I didn’t want a tight fitting dress and wanted to swish and float down the aisle. I was looking for something which was delicate but not heavily detailed, classy and elegant.
The stylists and service was impeccable. Anne is a brilliant seamstress she worked wonders with my bridesmaid dresses too.
Danni listened to everything I said and picked out a few dresses which she thought I would like. She was so friendly, warm and welcoming, as well as knowledgeable and extremely professional. She was able to pick out the dress of my dreams. She also told us the story of how Y.A.P was named and it brought us all to tears.
I didn’t believe when people said to me, you will know when you find ‘the one’ but the minute I saw myself in the mirror in my Lyn Ashworth dress, a hot warm tingling feeling moved from my toes to my head and I burst out crying, I was speechless and so emotional, I knew there and then that it was ‘The One’.
I would thoroughly recommend Y.A.P Bridal Boutique to any brides out there looking for the perfect experience when looking for their dress. I couldn’t have asked for anymore, my time there with the girls was perfect. I am only sad I can no longer go there and do it all over again with my Mam. My journey from start to finish was amazing and I can’t thank them enough for all they have done for me.

• ACCESSORIES •
My headpiece and veil were from Y.A.P, it was so delicate and beautiful, it complimented my dress perfectly. My shoes were from Rainbow, they were sling backs, I had broken my toe six weeks before the wedding so wanted a shoe without a high heel and they were so comfortable although I only just managed to get them on the day before the wedding…phew!. My earrings and bracelet were from Swarovski.
• FEELINGS •
My gown was so comfortable, I felt like a princess and the reaction I received from my husband and guests was amazing.
• VENUE •
Our wedding was held at Newton Hall, Northumberland, we wanted a relaxed informal day with a venue that was different, quirky and magical.
• DETAILS •
Our colours were aubergine and dusky pink. We went for a slightly vintage/rustic theme.
• SUPPLIERS •
Our suppliers could not be faulted, we used The Finishing Touches Company for our flowers, table centre pieces, chair sashes and table decorations. The flowers were breath taking, Charlotte understood exactly what we wanted and brought our ideas to life.
We had our cake made by The Cake Garden. This was outstanding it tasted and looked exquisite especially when put onto our unique home-made stand that my husband and I designed and my brother created for us at home it was perfect.
We had AMV live music to supply our DJ. Our band was the Four Worried Men. We had Snapparazzi Photobooths and Coco Luminaire who supplied our letters and photo booth which added extra sparkle to our day.
My makeup artist was Amy from Rose and Bird Makeup who made us all look flawless and our hair was by Becca at Glamazon, East Boldon.
Last of all a big thank you to our amazing photographers Martin and Alison from ‘Martin Kerr Photography’ who were able to put everyone at ease and created a day to remember in our wonderful photo album.
