Honestly, I already thought I had found my gown the day before at another boutique! I was looking forward to trying on but not really expecting to find anything I liked more than the dress I had already found!
The boutique was gorgeous, a step above anywhere I had been previously and I felt looked after from the moment I walked in. So many beautiful dresses in such a lovely location.
I knew what I definitely didn't want, but wasn't really 'set' on a style. I had tried on a few different styles previously and had liked different things. I definitely wanted something not too formal and something that would fit in with our relaxed barn wedding.
Heather was so lovely and asked me lots of questions to get an idea about what kind of style I was after and what kind of look would suit me. She then let me loose to pick out a few dresses to try on!
Heather was wonderful at my initial visit to the boutique, as was Danni at my fittings, and each time they made me feel relaxed and excited about the big day. During the fitting process Anne was a superstar, she has a knack for knowing exactly what a bride is thinking and feeling and she knew there was something bothering me about my gown after the first alterations. She made sure I was 100% in love with my dress and it was really important to her that I felt amazing on the day.
It blew the other gown out of the water! As soon as I put it on I knew it was more 'me' than anything else I had tried on. There were lots of things about my gown that I never thought I would go for but I loved everything about it as soon as I tried it on and could picture myself at my venue.
Brilliant from start to finish. The girls should feel proud of the fantastic service they give each bride. They work as a team and that comes across every time you visit. I'm very jealous of the Y.A.P team being surrounded by such gorgeous gowns everyday whilst at work!

• ACCESSORIES •
Veil, full length tulle purchased from Y.A.P,. Shoes, gold topshop sandals for the ceremony and cream lace TOMs for dancing! I had fresh wax flowers put through my hair.
• FEELINGS •
Like myself but a bride! It was important to me that I didn't feel like I was dressing up and even though I felt special, I still felt like me. As soon as I got down the aisle Tom told me he loved my dress, it made me feel even better knowing he loved it too!
• VENUE •
High House Farm Brewery, Matfen. A totally chilled out day where people could eat, drink, dance and have a good time! We had a wedding bake off, a bbq for tea and a band that got everyone dancing, it was exactly the fun filled day we had hoped for.
• DETAILS •
There really was no colour scheme or theme. We kept most things very neutral and had lots of bright wild flowers on the tables that we put together ourselves the day before. My mam even made my bouquet! We just went for things we liked, our wedding cake was a bit 'Aztec' but I think it worked!

My hair was done by my regular hairdresser and she did a brilliant job as always, I never wear my hair up but I loved my hair on the day and didn't want to take it out the next day, despite it looking more birds nest than wedding chic! High house farm were brilliant, they made everything run so smoothly and we couldn't fault them. Our band Farewell Fairground travelled all the way from Hull and they were unreal! Our wedding photographer, look for 'Erin Photography' on Facebook also travelled to be with us and even though she is just getting started out as a photographer we couldn't be happier with her work on the day and the photos we've seen so far!
Big loves to the wonderful Chloe - Your day was just dreamy and we adore your photos by Erin Photography - it looked so much fun and the ideal backdrop for you both xxx
