Tell us how you and your partner met. Your ‘love story’…
We met 7 years ago at work and became good friends, 2 years later we decided we might have something special and went on our first ‘date’ and the rest is history.
He took me on my dream holiday to Santorini and popped the question, it was pretty special.
How did you feel before your first appointment to try on gowns?
I was excited, I actually booked my appointment 18 months before my wedding date not expecting to find my dream dress straight away. I also had an appointment at another bridal shop later on in the day which I cancelled as soon as I found ‘the one’ I knew I did not need to look at any more dresses.
Did you have in mind the style and look you wanted from your gown? If so what was it?
I imagined myself in a tight fitted lace gown, with a really long train, however when I tried this on it did not suit my figure at all. I went in with an open mind and wanted to try on every style as I have always been told you will pick the dress you would never pick off the rail.... which was so true.
Tell us about the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received along your bridal journey
From my first appointment with Danni I was made to feel so comfortable, she knew exactly what styles would suit me and put me at ease straight away.
When my dress arrived in store, Brogan was brilliant and helped me picked out the perfect veil to suit my dress. You really feel like you get a VIP experience.
How did you feel when you found your dream gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’?
It was the only dress out of the 8 I tried, that I truly felt like a bride, it was the second dress I tried and knew I had to go back to it, I was in love.
How did you feel in your amazing Y.A.P gown when you tied the knot?
Like a true princess, it really is the most beautiful dress I have ever seen.
What three words would you use to describe your overall Y.A.P Bridal experience?
Fun, exciting, special
What is one thing you think you gained from having a ‘Love in Lockdown’ Wedding that you don’t think you’d have appreciated at a ‘Big’ Day?
We loved the intimate feel of our lockdown wedding, there was close family we had not seen in over a year so it was so special to have the time to speak to everyone and catch up, which we would not have been able to do if it was our full guest list.
A lockdown wedding really makes you appreciate the reason you are getting married and it about you and your partner. I wouldn’t have changed a thing the day was perfect.

Our venue was Le Petit Chateau, the colour theme was neutral with dusky pinks and sage greens

Hair and makeup by Aimee from Lisa Jones hair and makeup – I had been visiting Aimee for 18 months leading up to my wedding to get my skin in the perfect condition with million dollar facials (which I fully recommend) On the day Aimee made me feel so calm and we had a really fun morning getting ready. She got me, my Mam and 5 bridesmaids ready. She really made me feel a million dollars and cannot thank her enough.
Photographer: Sean Elliott – we spent a long time researching wedding photographers and Seans photos were exactly the style we were looking for. He made everyone feel so comfortable on the day and just felt like one of the guests.
Videographer: Jon from Top table films – this was a last-minute decision due to not being able to have all of our guests and I am so glad we booked Jon. So much of the day is such a blur and goes so fast so I cannot recommend booking a videographer enough if you are able to so you can relive the day again. Jon worked so well with my photographer as they are good friends and made us feel so comfortable as we were worried it would feel awkward but he made us feel at ease like we had known him for years.
Cake: Build-A-Bake – Hannah created my amazing wedding cakes, she is a really close friend of mine so it was so important she created my dream cake and because she knows me so well, it was even better than I could have imagined and tasted out of this world! We had lemon and elderflower, biscoff and chocolate and Nutella.
Charisma – Becca created mine and my bridesmaids' beautiful bouquets and my centre pieces which I used down the aisle first which I was obsessed with, they were stunning. She also created a beautiful statement piece for the fireplace which we then transferred to the top table.
Singer: Jodie Fitzgibbon – We booked Jodie to perform during our drinks reception and to keep the guests entertained whilst we had photos taken, she also played sets during our wedding breakfast. WOW what a voice, she is amazing and all the guests were blown away.
DJ: Steven Maddison – Steven played for our evening entertainment and first dance which we managed to have outside so it was as normal as possible. He is absolutely fantastic and decorates his booth stunningly, we picked the rustic style which suited the chateau perfectly.

I chose a beautiful Miranda Templeton hair vine piece at the Y.A.P trunk show.
My shoes were pink Ted Baker sling backs with crystal bows on the front
If you could give one piece of advice for future Y.A.P brides about to embark on their bridal journey, what would it be?
Do not stress about the small stuff, if any brides are worried about future restrictions please do not even worry. You will have the most amazing day regardless. And enjoy every minute because it goes far too fast!
Thank you so much for sharing you beautiful love story with us Anna. Your Precious day looks like it was utterly a VIP experience throughout, filled with so much love. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness.
You are Precious always.
Love, your Y.A.P team xxx
