Our Brides
Anna and Grant
Tell us how you and your partner met. Your ‘love story’…
We met 7 years ago at work and became good friends, 2 years later we decided we might have something special and went on our first ‘date’ and the rest is history.
He took me on my dream holiday to Santorini and popped the question, it was pretty special.
How did you feel before your first appointment to try on gowns?
I was excited, I actually booked my appointment 18 months before my wedding date not expecting to find my dream dress straight away. I also had an appointment at another bridal shop later on in the day which I cancelled as soon as I found ‘the one’ I knew I did not need to look at any more dresses.
Did you have in mind the style and look you wanted from your gown? If so what was it?
I imagined myself in a tight fitted lace gown, with a really long train, however when I tried this on it did not suit my figure at all. I went in with an open mind and wanted to try on every style as I have always been told you will pick the dress you would never pick off the rail…. which was so true.
Tell us about the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received along your bridal journey
From my first appointment with Danni I was made to feel so comfortable, she knew exactly what styles would suit me and put me at ease straight away.
When my dress arrived in store, Brogan was brilliant and helped me picked out the perfect veil to suit my dress. You really feel like you get a VIP experience.
How did you feel when you found your dream gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’?
It was the only dress out of the 8 I tried, that I truly felt like a bride, it was the second dress I tried and knew I had to go back to it, I was in love.
How did you feel in your amazing Y.A.P gown when you tied the knot?
Like a true princess, it really is the most beautiful dress I have ever seen.
What three words would you use to describe your overall Y.A.P Bridal experience?
Fun, exciting, special
What is one thing you think you gained from having a ‘Love in Lockdown’ Wedding that you don’t think you’d have appreciated at a ‘Big’ Day?
We loved the intimate feel of our lockdown wedding, there was close family we had not seen in over a year so it was so special to have the time to speak to everyone and catch up, which we would not have been able to do if it was our full guest list.
A lockdown wedding really makes you appreciate the reason you are getting married and it about you and your partner. I wouldn’t have changed a thing the day was perfect.
