Tell us how you and your partner met. Your ‘love story’…

I first met John in 2013, when we worked together in Newcastle. From the moment I met him, I knew he was going to be the man I would marry. Fast forward to 2017, we went on a first date and the rest is history. We now have a gorgeous 5 month old little boy and are looking forward to seeing what our future holds as Mr and Mrs Dodd.

How did you feel before your first bridal appointment? Did you have in mind the style you wanted from your gown? If so what was it?

I was slightly apprehensive about my first bridal appointment at Y.A.P, due to not having such a good experience at another bridal shop. From the moment I arrived at Y.A.P, the girls were fantastic! They were welcoming, happy and I never once felt pressured.

I had a style in mind before my appointment. I knew I wanted to have sleeves, a semi-fitted dress and lace/embroidery. I also knew that I wanted to wear something that was a bit different and not your sterotypcial dress.

What did you feel like when you found your precious gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’?

I was 8 weeks pregnant when I went for my wedding dress, so I was nervous. But when I put my dress on, I felt amazing- which rarely happens! I felt confident and knew that the dress I was wearing, was going to be the one I would get married in. The dress was a winner with my Mam and sister who were blown away and we all just knew that it was the one.

Describe how your gorgeous Y.A.P gown made you feel when you tied the knot with your fiancé?

Wearing my custom Maggie Sottero gown whilst getting married was a dream come true! I felt beautiful and I could not have been happier! Everybody commented on my dress and I cannot thank the girls enough for it!

Tell us about the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received along your bridal journey …

The service I received from the girls was outstanding! From the initial e-mail all the way to picking up my dress was an absolute delight. The girls made everything straightforward and were available for any questions or queries. The girls actually took the time to listen to what I wanted and how I felt- as well as using their knowledge to ensure I had the perfect gown. I cannot recommend Y.A.P enough! They are intelligent, caring and amazing girls who are inclusive and do not pressure you into anything. I wish I could come back and do the whole experience again- it was wonderful!
