Tell us how you and your partner met. Your ‘love story’…

Sam and I met whilst both working at Newcastle Airport back in 2011, we both noticed each other quite early on, and after a few months he finally plucked up the courage to ask me out! We went on our first date to Jesmond Dene and have been inseparable ever since.

How did you feel before your first appointment to try on gowns?

I was a little nervous as the thought of all of the focus being on me was terrifying, but those nerves soon turned to excitement when my Mam picked me up on the morning of my appointment. I was so pleased to have her there with me to be sharing such an important moment.

Did you have in mind the style and look you wanted from your gown? If so what was it?

I always knew I wanted something quite traditional with an A-line skirt, I love romantic lace detailing so was hoping the girls could find me something that ticked all those boxes.

Tell us about the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received along your bridal journey …

My journey with the girls could not have been more perfect, from the moment I walked through the door on that first appointment I felt comfortable and at ease. The whole team made me feel special and nothing was too much trouble for them.
They pulled out several gowns on my first appointment, all of which suited my body shape and had the little details which I’d requested… but also a couple of wild cards which I ended up falling in love with!
The girls never rushed or pushed me to make a decision, which is something I was really grateful for.
They understand that the dress is one of the most important decisions to make, and I’m just so pleased that I chose Y.A.P and had the girls there to share my journey.

How did you feel when you found your precious gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’?

Initially I was torn between two very different dresses, but after stepping back into the very first one I tried on I just knew it was the one for me. My mam is someone who will always be honest and will tell you if she doesn’t like something – she was speechless at the time so I knew it was a winner!

How did you feel in your amazing Y.A.P gown when you tied the knot?

I don’t think I’ll ever feel as beautiful as I did on my wedding day, usually I put myself down a lot and do not have much confidence in the way I look, my dress just made me feel amazing! It fit like a glove, nipped me in at all the right places, and was how I’d always dreamt I’d look. It definitely gave me the confidence that I needed to walk down that aisle!
