Tell us how you and your partner met. Your ‘love story’…

Marc and I met in Perdu in Newcastle in 2016, he was ‘up in the toon’ on a 30th birthday lads night out and I was out with my work girls, he caught my eye with his dance moves to our favourite song Get Busy by Sean Paul haha, (this was our wedding song too!!) After a night of dancing and lots of drinking we decided to meet up one weekend and I knew from then that he was the one. Since then we have had lots of amazing holidays including our trip to Monaco where Marc proposed to me overlooking the marina, it was beautiful.

How did you feel before your first appointment to try on gowns?

I was very nervous as I really wanted to find the perfect dress and I stressed after the first shop I went to as they didn’t help me or have any dresses that felt like me.

Did you have in mind the style and look you wanted from your gown? If so what was it?

Yes I knew exactly what I wanted, it had to be all lace, backless and fitted, with long sleeves I had seen it on Pinterest so many times. But this was not exactly what I went for in the end it was very similar but 100 times better than I could of imagined.

Tell us about the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received along your bridal journey

…from the moment I walked in to YAP I knew I was going to find my dream dress, my stylist was amazing, so friendly, and wanted to find out about who I was/what I wanted my big day to be like and most importantly what my dream dress ideas were…. I didn’t even go into the full gown room and Jo had already found my perfect dress! She brought it through to me and I fell in love. The service at Y.A.P was outstanding from start to finish – I recommend all my friends getting married to go here.

How did you feel when you found your precious gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’?

I knew as soon as I saw my dress that It was the one, it had beautiful detail – Traditional and modern all in one. I felt super nervous but excited at the same time, I just wanted to stand there all day in front of the mirror!
