Our Brides
Emma and James
Tell us how you and your partner met. Your ‘love story’…
Me and James met at work around 8 years ago now. I knew as soon as I saw him that I liked him! We were friends at first, he used to give me a drive home after work, and it grew from there. Here we are, a house, a dog, and marriage later
How did you feel before your first appointment to try on gowns?
I was a little nervous prior to the appointment but I was also so so excited to start trying on wedding dresses!
Did you have in mind the style and look you wanted from your gown? If so what was it?
I had in my mind that I wanted a really tight fitting, long sleeved, simple dress. I never in a million years thought I would want or wear a princess dress!
Tell us about the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received along your bridal journey …
I can honestly say that the service from ‘You Are Precious’ was absolutely amazing from the very first email to when I picked up my wedding dress and veil and after too. The girls are just so lovely and welcoming and put me at ease straight away. I will not hesitate to recommend ‘You Are Precious’ to anyone looking for a wedding dress!
How did you feel when you found your precious gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’?
I was so shocked at how I felt in my dress as it really was not what I had in mind! However, as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one. It made me feel amazing and look like a princess, it was everything I didn’t know I wanted!
How did you feel in your amazing Y.A.P gown when you tied the knot?
I felt incredible in my dress when we got married- like a true princess! The train and veil were absolutely stunning and complimented the venue and church so well. It made me feel gorgeous and James loved it! He was pleasantly surprised at the style of the dress as he like me, thought I would have got a simpler one but he loved it!
What three words would you use to describe your overall Y.A.P Bridal Journey?
Magical. Amazing and easy.
What is one thing you think you gained from having a ‘Love in Lockdown’ Wedding that you don’t think you’d have appreciated had it happened on your planned date?
Having to postpone our wedding three times, definitely made me appreciate the whole day and experience even more. It was so so lovely to be able to have all of our friends and family there after so long of not being able to see everyone! Even though the wedding was not on the date which we had originally planned, I wouldn’t have changed it for the world, it was perfect.
