Our Brides
Natasha & David
Tell us how you and your partner met. Your ‘love story’…
Myself and David met at work. We are both Paramedic’s and we just had an instant bond – when you know, you just know! He is my best friends, I think that’s key for any relationship.
How did you feel before your first appointment to try on gowns?
I was very excited to try on my style of dresses. I had always loved ‘Ian Stuart’ gowns since seeing them in a boutique when my mam had been dress shopping years ago. I went on Ian Stuarts’s website and found my dress! I knew I needed to try it to know for sure, but I was heavily pregnant and had 2.5 years to go until the big day!
I rang YAP, and spoke to Jo and I explained the situation. I asked if I could come in once I had had the baby and lost a few pounds! Jo said she was worried it was soon, but when I told her it was Ian Stuarts ‘Copacabana’, she said if I am an Ian Stuart Bride I will always be an Ian Stuart Bride and she was right!
How did you feel when you found your precious gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’?
I arranged to visit the studio in July 2017. My baby was 5 months old so I had lost a little bit of baby weight and I still had 2 years until the wedding. I expected to try on the gown and for it to be something to think about. I didn’t think the whole “moment” thing was real, but when I turned around and saw my reflection in the mirror I burst into tears – I just knew it was ‘The one’ and I said Yes to my Y.A.P dress!
Tell us about your bridal stylist and the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received …
My bridal stylist was Jo at my initial appointment, but all the Y.A.P girls were just amazing. I needed that little bit extra support as I was still carrying my extra baby weight and was worried about if I would lose it. I fell pregnant AGAIN 3 weeks after ordering the dress and so had another gorgeous flower girl on my day, but now had even more weight to lose! I had a two year bridal journey with Y.A.P, and they always knew my voice when I called or came in for my progress fits, it really felt like i was part of a family!
What three words would you use to describe your overall Y.A.P Bridal Journey?
I would describe my YAP journey as memorable, magical and I would have to say happy, as every time I visit the studio I just feel total happiness!
How did you feel in your amazing Y.A.P gown when you tied the knot?
When I put on my dress I felt like a princess! I had two years building up to this moment and I felt like a million dollars! I have never felt so special in a dress and probably never will!
