Tell us how you felt before your first appointment to try on gowns…
I was feeling very apprehensive and anxious before I visited Y.A.P Bridal Boutique – as I had been to approximately 6 wedding dress shops beforehand and had no luck and was thinking I would never find the ONE. I was losing hope to be honest.
On arriving at Y.A.P Bridal Boutique what were your initial thoughts…
When I came for my first appointment my first thoughts were how friendly and professional all the girls were in the shop. Louise sat me on the sofa and wrote everything down that I would want to find in the perfect dress, what my likes and dislikes were and the style I wanted to go for. What I really loved about Y.A.P is the girls knew exactly what kind of dress I would suit for my figure. Oh and I loved it how they offered me, my mother in law and friend a nice warm drink, something which the other wedding dress shops I visited had not.
Your Style Ideas…
I always dreamt of having a lace vintage style kind of dress- I love the detail that lace dresses have and I wanted to go for something elegant and classy and not make me look too old. I wanted my dress to be fitted and not too flowing.
Your Consultation to Finding the One…
Yes it certainly did help, I tried on about 6 dresses on my first consultation and then it was narrowed down to two possible dresses. I had to sleep on it first before I made my decision.
Tell us about your bridal stylist and the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received…
Absolutely outstanding and amazing is all I can say. I can’t thank Joanne, Danni and all the other girls for everything they have done for me since day one. Y.A.P are naturally gifted in everything they do and I just loved how relaxed they made me feel and didn’t try to rush me into making a decision if I wasn’t happy. I tried on one or two dresses that didn’t suit me and Y.A.P were honest about it, and that’s what I loved about the Y.A.P Team, that they weren’t just there to make money but they had honest opinions of what they thought suited me well and not so well.
How did you feel when you found your dream gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’…
It felt amazing, I’m quite an indecisive person when it comes to choosing a outfit for a night out. After I chose THE dress, I thought I might have felt different and made the wrong choice after a few days, but I didn’t, and I knew it was THE dress of all my dreams I had ever imagined. What made me choose it? That’s easy Y.A.P helped me make the best decision I was ever going to in my life and I knew it was just PERFECT.
Talk to us about your overall Y.A.P Bridal Journey…
World class ,outstanding and phenomenal and just the best experience ever. I was starting to loose hope until I visited Y.A.P Bridal Boutique thinking I would never find THE dress and it was starting to affect me as the big day was getting closer and closer. The Y.A.P team are very professional and they have an eye for detail and they know good fashion when they see it, it clearly shows in such a reputable boutique what they have achieved. I even recommended a friend of mine to go to Y.A.P and she found THE dress too. ‘You Are Precious’ aren’t just a wedding dress boutique, but they offer little touches to make sure your day goes smoothly, such as coming to dress you and your bridesmaids on the day. Little things such as the phone calls to see how everything is going so far, oh and not forgetting the champagne they so kindly offer you once you have found THE dress. Its little touches like this that make such a big difference to a bride to be and I will always have fond memories of Y.A.P and recommend any bride to be to visit the boutique as you certainly will not be disappointed. My husband and I have decided to renew our vows in 10 years time, and I know exactly where I will be going to find THE dress for the occasion.
On Saturday 8th August 2015 – Our gorgeous Y.A.P Bride, Navpreet wowed her groom in her stunning gown as they met at the altar of St.Peter’s Church in Sunderland. Wearing her beautiful Maggie Sottero gown with full length lace sleeve detail and delicately edged veil – Navpreet looked picture perfect. Celebrations of love, laughter and happily ever after were to follow at Beamish Hall – the perfect backdrop for their day. xxx
