Tell us how you felt before your first appointment to try on gowns…
After a poor experience elsewhere, I was very nervous about going to try on gowns again. My nerves were soon put to rest when I met Jo at Y,A,P. She was warm and welcoming and the boutique was so gorgeous – I started thinking that this was going to be a completely different experience for me!
On arriving at Y.A.P Bridal Boutique what were your initial thoughts…
I loved the décor and layout of the boutique. Jo was so friendly and caring that myself, my mam and my best friend soon fell in love with the boutique. Jo was genuinely interested in my wedding plans and what I liked in terms of detail, embellishment and style, she really took the time to get to know me.
Your Style Ideas…
I had initially thought I would like a long sleeve lace dress and explained I quite liked a boho style gown, but also wanted to feel really chic and fabulous! I was very vague with what I was thinking!
Your Consultation to Finding the One…
Jo took the time to get to know me and what I liked; she knew our wedding venue well and took this into account along with everything else I spoke about. She picked a lace dress out that I had described but actually admitted that she didn’t think I’d like it when I put it on – she was completely right! She then took me round the gorgeous dresses and helped pick out a few for me to try on. I was quite comfortable having Jo select dresses for me as she seemed to have a better idea of what would work best style wise than I did! I tried 6 dresses on all together and they were all gorgeous!
Tell us about your bridal stylist and the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received…
Jo spent a long time with me making me feel at ease and comfortable in the boutique. She clearly loves her job and is proud of her fabulous store. The story of how she came to start up the boutique had us all close to tears before I’d even started trying dresses on, and it really made us feel like we were in a very unique place. Jo and her gorgeous team are all genuinely kind and caring girls. The team have a real love for helping women to find their perfect dress and the customer service is second to none. They go out of their way to help you and are all very honest and not scripted at all – they are all just so lovely, it’s like meeting up with your friends every time you go in the boutique!
How did you feel when you found your dream gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’…
The gown I picked was one that Jo had selected for me and was completely fabulous! The soft box pleats through the skirt had a boho feel and the glass beads gave it a soft sparkle that wasn’t too heavy. The dress was cool and contemporary which we all agreed fit in well with my venue. I felt amazing in my dress and knew I didn’t need to look elsewhere!

Every time I went into the boutique I was greeted by a bright friendly smile from one of the girls, no matter how busy a day they were having they always had time to stop and ask how everything was going and were genuinely interested in my plans and how I was feeling.
Contemporary Boho vibes for this Y.A.P Beauty. Rachel and Marc celebrated their marriage at the city centre venue of the Baltic. With splashes of colour the pair opted for a cool and quirky day with a super relaxed vibe. Rachel wore an incredible Rosa Clara gown – handmade in Barcelona.
