Our Brides
Rebecca and John
Tell us how you and your partner met. Your ‘love story’…
We had known of each other, truth be told more so via social media, and occasionally passed each other in the street and acknowledged one another. Then John asked me out on a date; we hit it off straight away and the rest is history!
How did you feel before your first appointment to try on gowns?
I always thought that it was going to be a huge challenge, however I am an open minded person so that’s how I went into my first bridal appointment!
Did you have in mind the style and look you wanted from your gown? If so what was it?
I had modelled wedding dresses before, so for all I thought I would settle on a ‘princess cut’ wedding dress having thought that what suited me best when I had worn them in the past, I knew as soon as I’d find ‘the one’ it would all feel just right!…and really the dress I ended up choosing was pretty opposite to what I had in mind, but I just knew it was ‘the one’ instantly!
Tell us about the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received along your bridal journey…
Danni and the girls at Y.A.P are truly the most beautiful, welcoming, accommodating and just all round fabulous people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. They make you feel like a million dollars from the second you walk in, and make sure you feel that way until your wedding day. I really wish I was getting married over and over again, just so I could have the experience I had at Y.A.P and feel the way I did many more times to come!
How did you feel when you found your dream gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’?
From the second I walked into Y.A.P, it was amazing. Unbeknown to me, the appointment I had made happened to be when ‘Savin London’s’ designer was actually holding a trunk show there, showcasing some new season designs that weren’t in boutiques yet! Andrey Savin himself also helped me find my perfect dress. I had tried on three in total, the third being ‘the one’ which seemed to be a combination of the first and second dresses…they were all incredible though! Savin actually made my gown slightly bespoke which felt truly unique to me. I came away from my appointment feeling like I’d just won the lottery, it was one of the best feelings I’ve ever experienced!
How did you feel in your amazing Y.A.P gown when you tied the knot?
One word… Perfect! My dress did have an over skirt, which I chose not to wear given the fact we had a very small ‘lockdown’ wedding! However one day in the not so distant future, my over skirt will be worn because it is out of this world and deserves some attention!
What three words would you use to describe your overall Y.A.P Bridal experience?
Special, personal, perfect! (I could write so many more words down, three words aren’t enough!)
