Our Brides
Robyn and Craig
Tell us how you and your partner met. Your ‘love story’…
We met when we were seventeen. We went to different schools but in the same area in Northumberland and happened to meet on a school social night.
Tell us how you felt before your first appointment to try on gowns –
I was extremely excited as I had been looking on the Y.A.P website before my visit and couldn’t wait to try on some of the fabulous designer gowns that I had seen online. I was also very relaxed before my appointment, as I knew I would find the perfect dress at some point.
On arriving at Y.A.P Bridal Boutique what were your initial thoughts?
The boutique is dreamy, beautiful and glamorous. I had heard amazing things about Y.A.P so I was very excited and it certainly lived up to my expectations-it is a very special place with such magical atmosphere.
Did you have in mind the style and look you wanted from your gown? If so what was it?
Yes, I had tried several styles on (just to get an idea of what suited my shape and size), but I knew that I wanted a fitted gown, something elegant with a detailed back. I really liked the idea of a dress that was not white-something blush or gold.
How did your consultation during your appointment help to find the perfect dress for you?
Louise was amazing! I really loved the questions during the consultation as I felt as if Louise got to know my wedding style, what I wanted on my wedding day and my personality. At the end of my consultation she said they had a dress I would love and I really did. She picked my wedding dress there and then before I had even tried anything on and I loved it from the very moment I first saw it! It can only be described as a WOW moment!
Tell us about your bridal stylist and the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received..
It was just magical! The Y.A.P staff are amazing and they have made me feel special all the way throughout my bridal experience-from my very first consultation to Jo dressing me on the day of my wedding. At every single appointment the Y.A.P team welcomed me and made me feel comfortable and amazing.
How did you feel when you found your dream gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’-
I knew it was the dress when I saw it on the hanger. It was just perfect! It was everything I wanted. When I put it on I felt elegant and glamorous. I didn’t want to take the dress off, as I was so happy with the way it looked. I will never forget that moment. The Rosa Clara dress was also perfect as it is made in Barcelona and as we got engaged in Spain, so it felt like it was meant to be.

Where was your wedding held and what kind of day did you want?
Our wedding was at Le Petit Chateau. We loved the gardens at the venue and we were lucky enough to have perfect weather so our guests were outside all day. We wanted our day to be a celebration of love and happiness where we surrounded by family and friends.
What colour scheme/ theme did you choose for your big day?
Cream and sage green (the sage green of the Two-Birds dresses). We had cream roses and peonies all over the venue, which worked well with Le Petit Chateau’s colour schemes and gardens.
How did you feel in your amazing Y.A.P gown on your wedding day?
I felt amazing! I just loved the detail on the back of my dress and everyone was commenting on the back of my dress (as that was all they could see during the ceremony). My gown was everything I wanted and more! I loved the colour and felt like it went really well with the overall Spanish look that I wanted to create.
Robyn and Craig’s day was all about celebrating Love and Happiness..and they did just that. Held at the beautiful Le Petit Chateau, it was a perfect sunny day for the pair to start their new life together. Robyn tells us about the first moment she seen her gown and the amazing journey to her wedding day…
