Tell us how you and your partner met. Your ‘love story’…

David and I met at Chinese school which we used to go to every Sunday when we were younger. We started out as friends first then dated after. We’d been together for almost 13 years before we got married. During that time we’d been through so much together, grown up together and couldn’t be happier.

How did you feel before your first appointment to try on gowns?

I was very excited! Y.A.P was the first and only bridal shop that I went to. I had my mum and two of my bridesmaids with me and couldn’t wait to try on dresses.

Did you have in mind the style and look you wanted from your gown? If so what was it?

I had a few ideas of what I did and didn’t like. I wanted a dress that showed my figure, had beautiful detailing and a WOW factor. I knew I’d have to try on different styles to know what suited me and what I felt comfortable in.

Tell us about the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received along your bridal journey

Louise was great at understanding what kind of dress I had in mind, she picked out different dresses for me to try on; one of them being THE one! The girls at Y.A.P were all so knowledgeable, friendly and honest.

How did you feel when you found your precious gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’?

Louise picked out Kendra by Mori Lee. It was the last dress that I tried on and I almost didn’t because it looked so different on the hanger… I’m so glad that I did though! When I put it on I was honestly speechless and Louise could see how much I loved the dress. My mum and bridesmaids picked up that I’d gone quiet when trying on the dress and they soon knew why. I could tell by their first reactions how much they loved the dress too.
