On Saturday 11th September, after a full day of styling our beautiful brides - bringing their dress dreams to life, 4/6 of our Y.A.P #dreamteam FINALLY set off on another incredible trip to Yorkshire for ...
‘Harrogate Bridal Show’
after 18months of pivoting through this chaotic pandemic and buying virtually with our amazing, innovative designers.
We usually attend HBS every September to hand pick our new season collections our gorgeous North East brides and we were beyond THRILLED to be hitting the bridal Runways again!
After a road trip of singalongs and excitement, Danni, Kat, Ruth and Brogan arrived at our beautiful Air BnB in Harrogate. We had a bite to eat at Gianna Brio's Italian restaurant where we talked through the new trends and key styles we might be needing, before turning in early ready for a big couple of days ahead!
We arrived at HBS at 9.30am on the dot (opening time) raring for the day to be back with all of our remarkable designers and industry pals in person, we grabbed our lanyards and headed for our accessory designers before the shows! Richard Designs, Emma Bridals, Miranda Templeton and one or two new accessory designers certainly did not disappoint - keep your eyes peeled on our stories as our new arrivals appear in store…
Maggie Sottero and Rebecca Ingram runway shows kicked off Sunday afternoon (where we were also met our lovely senior stylist Heather who was joining us on the train for the day). We were greeted by the gorgeous MS girls at the front desk and given our clipboards, and a goodie bag filled with Cansecco, sweet treats and Selfie lights - (they know the way to our hearts!). We took our front row seats and went into ‘buying mode’. We always have our brides in the forefront of our minds and want to have the very best gowns sitting pretty in our rails for you so seeing the styles and fabrics move and how they fit the body is so important!
Next stop was to say hi to our girls at Kelsey Rose (Designer for our sister studio - Sisters of Grace), for a quick GnT catch up before heading to the main event - The HBS Catwalk Show (which was even more UNREAL and emotional finally seeing our labels shine again on that stage), before more food, prosecco and cocktails, meeting up with the lovely Jo (Jo Stott Consutancy) and Elaine (Elaine Rawlings Bridal) along with the team from Bride & Co in Yorshire, where we relived the exhilaration of the first day!
The next morning didn’t see us slowing down… Madi Lane Bridal and Evie Young were the first stops for our day. Grabbing coffee to go and sitting on our reserved table with the best view of the shows we remained focused as the models showcased the new season gowns. We cannot wait for you all to see what is in store this next bridal season!
Next up was a quick pit stop lunch at the V.I.P lounge with a glass of fizz before calling in to see our gorgeous reps Eleanor, Bec and Tim at Madison James (Another of our sister studio designers), having a quick dress debrief with Danni showing us our chosen styles and a quick selfie stop before running around to the Majestic Hotel next door to see our brilliant Savin London where, without giving too much away, we swooned over his intricate 3D laces, whimsical hand painted florals and classic cut dresses.
Time to head back to Newcastle (not before having a super quick stop off at Bettys for treats) - we had such an unbelievable time and headed home so inspired by the wonderful industry we are so priveleged to work within. We LOVE what we do and to share it with such beautiful people is utterly a blessing.
Until next time Harrogate… now let’s get back to work and look forward to our new gowns arriving at the studio early SS2022 - These will be with us ready to order for our brides-to-be married in AW2022 and beyond.
